AnaGain™: How Organic Pea Sprouts Reactivate Dermal Papilla Signalling

AnaGain™ is an organic pea sprout extract developed by Mibelle Biochemistry (Switzerland) that works at the dermal papilla level — the 'control centre' at the base of each hair follicle. Using DNA microarray analysis on plucked hair follicles, researchers demonstrated that AnaGain™ upregulates two critical signalling molecules within just 14 days: Noggin by +85% (which shortens the telogen resting phase) and FGF-7 by +56% (which initiates anagen growth).

The clinical phototrichogram study enrolled 20 volunteers aged 21–37 who applied AnaGain™ at 4% concentration for 3 months. Results showed the anagen-to-telogen (A/T) ratio improved from 4.0 to 7.2 — a +78% increase (p=0.001). Telogen hair density decreased by −28.3% (p=0.001). 95% of volunteers noticed a deceleration of hair loss. 85% saw their hair growth coefficient increase above the 5.0 threshold for normal hair.
